Chapter 3

Chapter 5
— Hear ye this, O priests! And hearken, ye house of Israel!

— Woe to them that are at ease in Zion,

Chapter 8
— the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day
— I will turn your feasts into mourning, your songs into lamentation
— the days come, I will send a famine in the land
— and they shall wander from sea to sea, from the north to the east
— they shall run to and fro to seek the Lord, and shall not find it
— they would swear by Samaria and say, ‘Thy god, O Dan, liveth’
Chapter 9
— He that fleeth from them shall not flee away,
— and he that escapeth from them shall not be delivered
— though they dig into hell, thence shall Mine hand take them;
— though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down
— I will sift the house of Israel among all nations
— all the sinners of My people shall die by the sword
— I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen
— I will bring back the captives of My people of Israel
