Trump’s 15-point peace plan:
Israel’s Channel 12 specifies 14 of the 15 demands and benefits for Iran that have been delivered to the Iranians through diplomatic backchannels.

US DEMANDS:
1. Iran must dismantle its existing nuclear capabilities.
2. Iran must commit never to pursue nuclear weapons.
3. There will be no uranium enrichment on Iranian territory.
4. Iran must hand its stockpile of some 450 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent to the International Atomic Energy Agency in the near future, in a timetable to be agreed.
5. The Natanz, Isfahan and Fordo nuclear facilities must be dismantled.
6. The IAEA, the UN’s nuclear watchdog, must be granted full access, transparency and oversight inside Iran.
7. Iran must abandon its regional proxy ‘paradigm.’
8. Iran must cease the funding, direction and arming of its regional proxies.
9. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open and function as a free maritime corridor.
10. Iran’s missile program must be limited in both range and quantity, with specific thresholds to be determined at a later stage.
11. Any future use of missiles would be restricted to self-defense.
IN RETURN, IRAN BENEFITS AS FOLLOWS:
12. Iran would receive a full lifting of sanctions imposed by the international community.
13. The US would assist Iran in advancing its civilian nuclear program, including electricity generation at the Bushehr nuclear plant.
14. The so-called ‘snapback’ mechanism, which allows for the automatic reimposition of sanctions if Iran fails to comply, would be removed.

However, Iran had earlier countered by closing the Strait of Hormuz and would only agree to a ceasefire if three major conditions are met:
(1) That the United States withdraw all military forces, weapons and personnel from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman and Syria within 30 days;
(2) That all trade; oil and financial sanctions against Iran must all be lifted since 1979 within 60 days;
(3) That the United States pay $800 billion in reparations for the damage they suffered over the last 40 years of sanctions; $500 billion within the next ten years.
In practice, Iran’s IRGC allows a limited number of tankers to pass the Strait of Hormuz if the ships are Chinese owned, or that its oil or LPG cargo have been bought by using Yuan.
Or, from a more recent listing: BusinessStandard
What are Iran’s key demands?
As per the report, Iran has laid out the following conditions:
- Closure of all American military bases in the Gulf and reparations for attacks on Iran
- A new order for the Strait of Hormuz allowing Iran to collect transit fees
- Guarantees that the war will not restart, along with the lifting of all sanctions
- An end to Israel’s strikes on Iran-aligned militias, including Hezbollah
- Permitting Iran to retain its missile programme without negotiations or limits
The Trump administration appears unwilling to accept Tehran’s demands, describing them as “ridiculous and unrealistic.”
The GAP between what the United States and Iran expect would be too wide to CLOSE.
